Account

Account holds your own profile, your company details and everything administrative, spread across tabs. Every user sees Profile and Notifications. User management, API keys, billing and webhooks are shown to Root and Administrator users only.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Account to reach the management tabs. Every user sees Profile and Notifications. Account Management, User Management, API Keys, Plans, Billing, Usage Report, Transactions and Webhooks are shown to Root and Administrator users only.
  2. Profile: this tab holds two cards.
    • Profile — First Name, Last Name and Email. Every user can edit their own. Role, Created On and Proxy are read-only for everyone.
    • Company Info — Company Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, Country, Phone Number, SMS Phone Number and Time zone. Only a Root user can edit these. For everyone else the fields are shown but greyed out, and Save Account saves the Profile card only.
    • The phone numbers and the time zone are on the Company Info card, not the Profile card. A user who is not Root cannot change them.
  3. If a user says they cannot edit the company information, the reason is almost always their role. Check the Role field on the Profile tab. If it is not Root, the Root user on the account has to make the change. There is no setting that grants this to an Administrator.
  4. User Management: click + to add a user. Fill in name, email, Role and password. The roles that can be assigned are Administrator, Normal, Advanced and Restricted. Root cannot be assigned or edited here; it belongs to the user the account was created with. Use the slider to activate or deactivate a user.
  5. A new user gets a confirmation email and cannot log in until they click the link in it. If they never received it, or the link expired, there are two ways to send it again:
    • The user can do it themselves. They enter their email and password on the login page as normal. Because the account is not confirmed the sign-in does not complete, and a Resend Email Confirmation link appears next to Remember me. Offer this first — it needs nobody else.
    • An Administrator or Root user can do it from Account > User Management. The grid shows Confirmed against a user who has clicked the link. Against a user who has not, it shows a Resend Confirmation link instead. Both links send a fresh link, so an expired one stops mattering. They disappear once the user confirms.
  6. API Keys: generate keys for Contact API, Transactional Email API, and Suppression API. Set permissions per key (None, Read Only, or Full Access). Go to Account > API Keys > Add > name the key > set permissions > Create > Copy.
  7. Plans: view available tiers (Starter, Growth, Pro, Enterprise). Click Choose Plan to upgrade (effective next billing cycle). For Enterprise, click Request a Quote.
  8. Billing: view and update your payment card. Usage Report: see Sends, Contacts, and Suppressions usage for the current period plus a daily breakdown. Transactions: view payment history and download PDF invoices.
  9. Dedicated Proxy: every EmailElement account has its own dedicated proxy. This means:
    • One account's sending reputation does not affect another account's reputation
    • If one account gets blocklisted, other accounts are not impacted
    • Provides full isolation between accounts for deliverability
  • Account Management Walkthrough — every step with screenshots, covering Profile Tab, User Management Tab, API Keys Tab
  • Roles and Permissions — covers User Roles, Permission Matrix, Company Info, Restricted Users
  • API Keys — creating a key and choosing what it may reach
  • Plans and Billing — what the plans cost and what they include
  • Complainers — checking a complaint back against the send it came from
  • Notifications — which events notify you, by email and in the app
  • User Roles — the five roles and what each one may do
  • Webhooks — posting delivery and engagement events to your own endpoint
