Warmup Guide
Warm-up gradually increases sending volume on a new domain or IP to build sender reputation with ISPs. Sending too much too fast from a new domain can trigger spam filters.
EmailElement Warm-up Strategies
| Strategy | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Linear | Same # of contacts added each day | Predictable growth |
| Exponential | Increases by % each day | Faster ramp-up |
| Custom | Manual volume per day | Fine-tuned control |
Example Warm-up Schedule
These figures show how each strategy grows, not how much to send. For the volumes to use, see Warm-Up Best Practices Guide.
| Day | Linear (start: 100, +100/day) | Exponential (start: 100, 2x/day) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100 | 100 |
| 2 | 200 | 200 |
| 3 | 300 | 400 |
| 4 | 400 | 800 |
| 5 | 500 | 1,600 |
Monitoring During Warm-up
Check Delivery Events daily for bounce and complaint rates.
The rates to stay under, what to do when one of them spikes, and the recommended day-by-day volumes all live on one page: Warm-Up Best Practices Guide. Follow that page rather than the example schedule above, which is here to show how the three strategies differ.
