Google Workspace Inboxes

Google Workspace inboxes are mailboxes that EmailElement sets up and manages for you. One send integration can send through several of them at once, and none of them needs signing in to Google.

How you get them

  • EmailElement creates the inboxes and assigns them to your account. Ask support@emailelement.com for them. In the app they are listed under Gmail Users.
  • You do not authorise them with Google. There is no Authorize Gmail button and no password to enter.
  • Every inbox assigned to your account is billed as an add-on, prorated by the day. It shows on Account > Transactions as Gmail Reseller Account.

Instructions

  1. Go to Send Integrations and click Create Send Integration.
  2. Set Type of Integration to EmailElement, pick Gmail, and click Next >>.
  3. Enter a Send Integration Name and choose one or more verified Sender Domains.
  4. Under Gmail Users, tick the inboxes this integration sends through.
  5. Tick Override Sender Domain's From Name with email local-part if each inbox should send under its own name.
  6. Click Create.
  7. Switch Proxy on, unless EmailElement has already set a proxy up on your account.
  8. Click Run Test.

Every screen is pictured on the Google Workspace Inboxes Walkthrough.

What you can set

Setting What it does
Send Integration Name How the integration appears in your lists
Sender Domains One or more verified domains
Content-Transfer-Encoding Leave it on Default unless you have a reason
Gmail Users The Google Workspace inboxes this integration sends through. The list holds the inboxes assigned to you that no other integration is using. Select all ticks every one, and Selected Count shows how many are ticked out of how many are available
Override Sender Domain's From Name with email local-part Uses the part of the inbox's address before the @ as the From Name, with each word capitalised and the rest lowercased: jane.doe@ sends as Jane.Doe. A part written all in capitals is left as it is, so JOHN@ sends as JOHN. It replaces the From Names on your email content. A From Name pinned on a template, or sent with a transactional email, still wins
Active Switches the whole integration on or off
Proxy Sends through a dedicated proxy IP. Switching it on adds the monthly proxy charge, which the confirmation shows before you agree
Volume Cap Per sender domain, per 1 hour and per 24 hours. The cap counts everything the integration sends, across all of its inboxes together
Custom Headers Optional, added with Add Custom Header

How it sends

  • Each email goes out from one of the selected inboxes, and the From address is that inbox's address.
  • Google Workspace inboxes send only through a proxy IP: the integration's own Proxy, or one EmailElement has set up on your account. With neither, the integration sends nothing. Ask support if you are not sure which you have.
  • Run Test needs a saved integration with a sender domain and at least one inbox under Gmail Users. Changing Gmail Users switches it off until you save.

What you cannot do

  • Create, rename or delete inboxes, or change their passwords. EmailElement does that.
  • Use one inbox in two integrations at a time. An inbox already in another integration is left out of the list.
  • Add your own Gmail or Google Workspace account here. That is the API type with Authorize Gmail, on the Gmail Integration Setup Guide.
  • Give one inbox its own proxy, cap or settings. The integration's settings apply to all of its inboxes, and the list shows the integration as one row.
