Tips for Effective Feature Requests
- Focus on the problem, not just the solution — Explain what challenge you are facing. The product team may find an even better way to solve it.
- Be specific — "Better reporting" is too broad. "Add the ability to filter engagement reports by Send Integration" gives the team something concrete to evaluate.
- Include examples — If another tool does something similar, mention it. Screenshots or links help the team understand your vision.
- Explain the impact — Mention how many users, campaigns, or contacts this would affect in your workflow.
- One request per email — Keep each feature request in its own email so it can be tracked and prioritized independently.
Example Feature Request
Subject: [Feature Request] Add A/B testing for email subject lines
Hi EmailElement Team,
I'd like to suggest a new feature for the platform.
Feature description:
Add the ability to create A/B tests when scheduling an email campaign. I'd like to test two or more subject lines against a small percentage of my segment, then automatically send the winning subject line to the remainder.
Use case:
I send weekly campaigns to 200,000+ contacts. Subject line performance varies significantly, and I currently have no way to test variations within EmailElement. A/B testing would help me improve open rates without manually splitting segments.
Current workaround:
I manually create two separate scheduled emails with different subject lines, each targeting half of my segment. I then check the reports after 2 hours and cancel the lower-performing send. This is time-consuming and error-prone.
Priority:
Important — this would save me 30+ minutes per campaign and improve performance across all my sends.
Additional context:
Tools like Mailchimp and Brevo offer this as a standard scheduling option. I'd love to see it integrated into the existing Schedule workflow.
Thank you,
Alex Chen
