Complainers
A complainer is a contact who reported one of your emails as spam. Paste the raw complaint email into the Complainers tab on Contact History and EmailElement works out which contact it came from and suppresses them, so you do not have to find the address yourself.
Instructions
- Navigate to Contact History > click the Complainers tab.
- Paste the raw email content (full headers and body) from a spam complaint (e.g., from Spamhaus, LashBack, or directly from an inbox).
- Click Suppress Email. If EmailElement identifies the contact, they are added as a complainer and suppressed.
- Click Copy to copy the suppressed email address, then switch to the Contact Search tab to verify: paste the email > click Search > confirm the contact appears on the appropriate Suppression List.
- Complainers also appear on the Dashboard (click the complaint count to see the Delivery Event) and in Reports for aggregate complaint tracking.
